EADV Election Special
Board Members Board Members are elected for a three- year term and can serve a second three- year term, if re-elected to the position. Each Board Member is elected within their own country by national EADV members with voting rights. Board Member elections are also carried out online by CES. This year, we have Board elections in several European countries including: the Czech Republic, Iceland, Italy, Montenegro, Norway, Turkey and the United Kingdom. Full candidate profiles can be found directly on the voting pages. Elections held earlier this year Committee Chairs and Committee Members Committee elections are usually held in person at Spring Symposia Board Meetings. As this year’s 57th Board Meeting was carried out virtually, in a reduced formatwithout votesor elections, Committee elections were organised separately and conducted online after the meeting. For this, the Academy again relied on the services offered by CES. The elections closed on 20 July 2020.
President-Elect Every two years, all eligible EADV members are called on to participate in the election of a new President-Elect and cast their vote online. As always, this year’s President-Elect election is being managed by Civica Election Services (CES) (former Electoral Reform Services), an independent company with an international reputation. Elections opened on 8 September 2020 and will
remain open until 20 October 2020. CES has sent a link and access codes to all EADV members who have voting rights and has also sent, and will continue to send, reminders to all members who have not yet cast a vote. In this special issue of EADV News, you can read about the vision each of the two candidates has for the future of the Academy. Full candidate profiles are provided by CES on the online voting pages.
