® The 14 th EADV Spring Symposium in Brussels in 2017 proved to be yet another successful event, both scientifically and socially. The meeting took place in the spacious and modern Square – Brussels Convention Centre, located in the heart of Brussels and which offers panoramic views of the local surroundings. Due to the dedicated and continuous work of the Symposium Chair, Prof Jo Lambert, and her team, who col- laborated closely with the EADV’s Scientific Programming Committee and administrative staff, the scientific programme was a real success. In an inspiring environment, the Symposium presented a high-level programme characterised by relevant topics based on local expertise and interest. Speakers from 32 countries presented their topics spread over three days. There were also four tracks: Review and updates, ple- nary lectures, free communications, and a single track dedicated to residents. Apart from the science, the participants had the opportunity to stroll around the ‘Capital of Europe’ and enjoy the many attractions such as the Grand Place, Atomium, European Parliament and Manneken- Pis. They also visited many renowned bars and restaurants to savour waffles, chocolates, and try some of the hundreds of Belgian specialist beers.
