® EADV’s return to Prague for the 21 st EADV Congress proved to be yet another successful meeting, both scientifically and socially, confir- ming the reality of the the congress motto: “Skin is Vital”. As expec- ted, the magical Bohemian city attracted more than 8000 participants from 108 countries, including 504 from the USA. The opening ceremony was marked with welcome speeches by Prof Andris Rubins, Congress President and outgoing EADV President Frank Powell, which closed with a wonderful concert by the local sym- phony orchestra. The scientific programme was one of the best thus far, with excellent presentations from experienced speakers. Industry participation was once again very strong, with more than 130 companies presenting 24 satellite symposia. The post-event evaluation forms showed that 90% of respondents wished to hear about the same topic the following year. During the 21 st Congress, in the spirit of the “See my Practice” pro- gramme, the new EADV President, Prof Jana Hercogová, invited members of the Office Management Task Force to her Dermatology Department at Balouka Hospital. Furthermore, in addition to the annual Congress Scholarships, 89 Baltic Fellowship awards were made for the first time. At the closing ceremony, according to the tradition, the EADV flag was handed over to Prof Can Baykal, who was to be President of the 22 nd EADV Congress in Istanbul in 2013.
