s Michel Delune was born in Brussels, Belgium in April 1942 and graduated in Medicine from the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL) in Belgium, where he also completed his residency in dermato-venereology. He became General Secretary of the “Union Professionnelle Belge de Dermato-Vénérologie” and Belgian representative on the UEMS Board. He therefore became a founder member of EADV and was appointed as its first Treasurer in 1987 in which capacity he served until 1993. Michel Delune held the position of Professor of Dermatology at the School of Nurses of “Les Deux- Alice” before definitively moving to the USA in 1994.
2 nd EADV Treasurer: 1993–1995
s Félix Gueissax was born in Basel, Switzerland in October 1956 and graduated in Medicine from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland in 1982. His postgraduate training in Dermatology was conducted at the University Department in Lausanne and Hôpital Saint Louis in Paris, gaining accreditation in 1990. He was briefly Head of the Clinical Assistant Department of Dermatology in Lausanne (1990–1991) before beginning private practice in Neuchâtel, Switzerland in 1991. Félix Gueissaz served as Treasurer of EADV from 1993–1995. Since completing his term of office, he has served as President of the Societé Suisse de Dermatologie et Vénéréologie between 2003–2006.
3 rd EADV Treasurer: 1996–2002
s Diane Roseeuw was born in 1947 and obtained her MD in Brussels in 1972. Between 1973–1976 she completed her specialisation in Dermatology and Venereology at the St Pieters and Brugmann Hospital, ULB-VUB. She pursued a post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA under the direction of Prof JJ Vorhees (1978–1981) before becoming Head of the Department of Dermatology, University of Brussels and Professor at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Diane Roseeuw was President of the Koninklijke Belgische Vereniging voor Dermatologie en Venerologie/Société Royale Belge de Dermatologie et de Vénérologie from 1995–1999, serving as President of the 4 th EADV Congress in Brussels in 1995 and becoming Treasurer of EADV from 1996– 2002. She was largely instrumental in the finding and purchasing the EADV House in Brussels in 2001.
