A chapter closes Unfortunately, recent developments have proved problematic to the development and use of EADV House Brussels. Because of newly introduced health and safety issues and, in particular, risk of fire, the state has only authorised the use of house as an office on the ground and first floor. The house cannot be modified to rectify these issues as it is a ‘listed’ building. Therefore, in April 2019 the 12 staff working in the departments of education, membership and communications had to relocate to other office accommodation in Brussels. Sadly, EADV House has had to close, thus bringing to an end 18 years’ use, but we can be proud that this splendid Art Nouveau house served as the first office and home of the Academy!
EADV House has hosted many Fostering courses over the years
