Board for decision. Projects given support must report each year on their progress to the PPRC. The project must relate to the mission of the Academy and must contain the aim, methodology, out- come measures, assessments and estimated budget. Project proposals must be sent to the PPRC by 1 September each year, before the deadline for the following year’s budget. Scientific Programming Committee (SPC) The SPC is the cornerstone of the Academy in the sense that the scientific programme is the essence of the EADV mission. It currently works in close collaboration with Local Scientific Committees (LSCs) in the building and fine-tuning of scientific programmes, in choosing session chairmen and topics and in monitoring and providing support and advice on all aspects concerning the scientific programme. It has, in recent years and now, produced and developed ongoing support documents and guidance both for LSCs and Professional Congress Organisers (PCOs), giving the SPC Chairman a comprehen- sive overview of the logistics as well as the content. The SPC works very closely with the CME-CPD Committee as well as with scientific programme exchanges that EADV enters into with sister organisations. Statutes and Development Committee The role of the Statutes and Development Committee is: • To formulate and present drafts of the EADV Statutes to the EC, Board, and membership, as requested by the Board • To present the final draft of such Statutes to the meeting of the members called for this purpose • To formulate or develop internal rules for presentation to the Board and administrative regulations for presentation to the EC • To review and make recommendations to the EC and Board on any proposed amendments or changes to the Statutes, internal rules or administrative regulations • To advise the Board on any potential conflicts between their actions and the EADV Statutes, inter- nal rules or administrative regulations • To undertake other tasks as requested by the Board or EC in relation to EADV rules or regulations. Website Committee* The Website Committee maintains, updates and enhances the EADV website, as well as analyses and implements any internet-related technology that can help EADV to reach its missions and objectives. It also serves in a consultancy capacity for any issue related to information technologies (IT) that could be of interest to the Academy.
*The Media & PR and Website committees were combined and renamed the Communication Committee in 2019
